I
had sex with my boyfriend on Feb. 4, and afterwards we found out that the condom broke. We immediately went to the pharmacy and bought Plan B-I took the first pill within an hour to an hour and a half of having sex.I took the next pill 12 hours later, just like it said.My period was due "sometime" that week-but it's pretty irregular.I thought I started my period yesterday, the 12th, but it lasted less than a day.It was fairly heavy bleeding-but not as heavy as it usually is on the first day of my period. Also, I've been having cramps-even after the blood flow stopped. I'm not sure if this is my period, a side effect of Plan B, or Plan B causing a very short period.I've taken a pregnancy test and it came back negative.Could I still be pregnant, even after taking a test, not to mention taking the pills within an hour of the condom breaking? Also, how effective are HPTs-should I trust the results? I know I should go to a dr. but she's out of town & I want to know your personal opinion!

I may be a guy.. but I have had to rely on plan B a few times with some ex-girlfriends and they also had late and irregular periods.. it's a lot of hormone for your body to take. HPTs are ok.. but to my knowledge there isn't one that could tell you that you are pregnant only 2 weeks after conception. relax though, odds are you are just having a side effect.. and if you think you will be continuing this relationship for a while, you may want to see about getting on the pill

Most HPTs have an error rate of less than 1%. That mean 1 out of every hundred may be wrong.
If you want to cut your odds, take 3 tests. If the majority say you are pregnant, you probably are. If the majority says you are not, then you probably aren't.

I don't think your pg, you can take another test in a couple of days but with what you saying it sounds like everything okay, you should look into taking the pill or ever the patch they have, just using a condom is not the answer.

I am not familiar with the side effects of Plan-B, but home pregnancy tests are very accurate for positive results. If you are concerned, try another test. If it comes up negative again, you should be able to relax.

Clam down you are not pregnant. Especially if you had your period that month and then had your period the next. Go to the doctor any way to check but in two weeks take another EPT to check if the results change. But, I don't think your pregnant when you took procedures.

Yes you could be pregnant, ovulation occurs 7 days before a period is due and it only takes 1 little swimmer to fertilize your egg, get a test asap

Home pregnacy tests are not always 100% correct. I would go to sexetc.org. That website can tell you if your state does free pregnancy tests at doctor's offices. or you can go to a local doctor's office, like an Urgent Treatment Center, and get tested there.

It is unlikely that you are "with child". The pills which you took should have spit out that possibility. The tone of your question is one of stress. That could have been avoided by just abstaining until you are to a place in your life where you can handle such an event.

If your doctor is out of town she has someone who is "on call" to cover for her. If you are worried you should contact the doctors office and see who is covering for your regular doctor.
