BOYS
Jayden - Good name, but if it is unique you want, you should know that this name is one of the quickest growing in popularity.
Desmond - more unusual and still nice
Jonathan - Again not the most unusual but still a classic strong name
Alfred - Sorry but the image of Batman's butler is forever associated with Alfred to me.
Aden - Again this one is becoming very popular. It is a nice name but my biggest problem with it is the number of girls with this name. It could become tomorrows Lynsey, Shannon, Stacy, Ashley etc. They were once boys name but now...
Josiah - Love it! The best on the list
Michael - Another very good classic name
Mukai(muh-ky) - I am sorry but it sounds too much like Mucky, like mucky water.

GIRLS
Emory(m-or-e) - Adorable
Armony - Kind of sounds like an incomplete Harmony, not too bad though
Dominique - Not my favorite
Naveiah(nuv-ay-uh) - I love the name but have never seen it spelled quite like that, I have seen it Nevaeh and Neveah, the "i" seems unnecessary
Zeiah(zay-uh) - Original, cute, it could grow on me but again, I don't think you need the 'i' there. Veah is nice too.
Alizay - just OK to me
Lexy - I really like it but I think it is better as a nickname: Alexia, Alexis, Alexi, Alexandria, Alexandra, Alexa
Dallas - Being from DFW I don't like it as a name but I guess if you don't live around here it is OK
Samarah Beautiful
Trinity - OK a bit trendy
Destiny - Not much of a name to me
Caitence - I like Cadence, if you pronounce it the same way, If you meant to stress the "t" it is kind of awkward.
Camron - I still always Picture Kirk Cameron when I hear this but then again there is also Cameron Diaz, It's OK I guess
Michael - Michaela yes Michael no
Jayden - too boyish for me, very confusing if she has short hair
Kayden - better but still....

I like Josiah Michael, Emory Alizay, Desmond Josiah, and Samarah Caitence

I put them in order, the one I liked best first.

These are the ones I like for a boy:
aden
desmond
mukai(muh-ky)

Jayden sound like a girl's name to me.

I like these for a girl:
zeiah(zay-uh)
Emory
jayden
Michael(see note below)
trinity
Armony
camron
Dominique
destiny

Michael is nice for a girl if you gave it a different spelling from the traditional boys name. Michaelle, or Michal maybe? That way, people who see the name won't automatically assume it is a male's name.
Lexy, Destiny & Dominique are pretty common around here.

First of all, dear, it would help if you capitalized the first letter of your child's name.

jayden: A name is no longer unique if you and fifty other moms in your neighborhood think it's unique too. "Jayden" is looking to become the "Heather" of the twenty-first century.

desmond: This is a great name - a little old-fashioned, but in a classy way.

jonathan: Everybody and his brother is named Jonathan this generation. I'd go with "Nathan."

alfred: A little old-fashioned, but in a fussy way. Kids will call him "Alf" on the playground, too.

aden: The Irish spelling of "Aidan" is both softer and classier.

josiah: A nice Biblical name, plus kids can shorten it to Jose or Josh when he's young.

michael: Again, everyone and their brother is a Michael this generation. Unique this is not.

mukai(muh-ky): NO. The poor child will go through life correcting its spelling and teach people how to pronounce it, plus it sounds WAY too much like "Monkey," and little kids are MEAN, my dear.

GIRLS
Emory(m-or-e): Too masculine. I'd go with "Avery" or "Emily."

Armony: She'll spend her whole life correcting people who want to call her "Harmony."

Dominique: A lovely name. My second favorite.

naveiah(nuv-ay-uh): NO! Name your daughter this, and she will be in name-change court becoming "Jane" or "Karen" by the time she's eighteen. This name says, "My mother is trying too hard."

zeiah(zay-uh): See "My mother is trying too hard," above. If you REALLY insist, go for Zelda (like Zelda Fitzgerald, not Legend of Zelda) or Xenia (pronounced Zeen-ah.)

alizay: This says "strip club near airport" to me...

lexy: I'd call her Alexa, Alexandria, or Alexis and nickname her "Lexy." Wouldn't look good on a college diploma, though it's a catchy nickname.

dallas: Place names are SO 1997. She'll end up in a class full of little Madisons, Virginias, Viennas, Sierras, and Parisii. Plus high school kids are MEAN, and there was a pornographic movie about "doing Dallas" that is still in popular memory.

samarah: This one is my favorite. It actually is unique, yet at the same time easy to spell and pronounce and without that dreaded whiff of "my mommy is more kr8ativ than your mommy" about it. You can call her Sam or Marah when she's little, too. Just don't ever let her watch any of the "Ring" movies.

trinity: Don't be surprised if she wants to dress in PVC and take martial arts classes.

destiny: Another one that says "Stripper. Pole. Near airport."

caitence: She'll go through life correcting it from "Patience." Just call her Caitlin or Patience and be done with it.

camron: Sounds like "Cameron" with a speech impediment.

michael: Again, too masculine. The feminine of Michael, Michaela, (Mee-kay-lah) is lovely, though.

jayden: Again, a name is no longer unique if you and fifty other moms in your neighborhood think it's unique too.

kayden: See "Jayden, masculine," and "Jayden feminine," above.

As you think about baby names, one thing you might take into consideration is how that name will be perceived from infancy through adulthood. While many names are sooo cute and trendy as children can you see your child becoming a successful professional with that name. I know it shouldn't matter, but if you were looking in the phone book for a new doctor or lawyer or whatever, chances are you hold specific stereotypes toward certain names. Personally, I like the name Rowdy for a boy, and while it sounds cute for that blonde little 2 year old running around in his underwear and red cowboy boots; I just can't see Dr. Rowdy So & So.
That being said of your offered names, I personally like Jayden for a boy and Lexy for a girl although sexy Lexy might not bode well for her professional career either.

Personally, I prefer names that are different, but don't require a pronunciation guide.

I don't care for any of your girls' names. Many of them are actually becoming quite popular in the schools, like Michael for a girl (I've seen it spelled Mychael a couple of times) and Naveiah (which is usually spelled heaven-backwards). I do like Lexy, if short for Alexandra, Alexis, or another feminine form of Alexander.

Alfred is my dad's name. I may use it as a middle name at some point. I've thought about using as first name with a nick name Freddy. Josiah is cute. I run into little boys with that name on occasion. Not too popular; not too trendy. Michael and Jonathan are names to avoid if you don't want common. There are Michaels and Jonathans in every generation that I remember.

Okay you want an honest answer? Here it goes:
Some of these names will cause people to automatically assume that your kid is from a lower class family. My boyfriend's ex just said she wants to name her baby girl "lexy" - 3 out of the 5 people she asked said it was a stripper's name!

Dallas or micheal might be a cute, unique name for a girl. Jayden is a really overused name right now, so it may not be as unique as you think. Desmond and Jonathan are nice. For "Mehki" , you should really consider spelling it the way it's spelled traditionally, since it's such an untraditionally American name! ( I think it might be African in origin).
Also people might pronounce adan as "ah-din" or "a-dan"; I think you are trying to use the name "Aiden"?

Keep in mind our world has become a sort of globalized, so there are constantly new names from different cultures coming into everyday contact. It's okay to use a name that is different, just make sure it follows the way English is normally pronounced!

Also, consider a name that can easily turn into one of these nicknames - that way if your child hates his/her name, they can change it when they're older. Example:
Name her "Harmony," but call her "Armony,"
Name her "Alexis" > "Lexy"
"Eliza or Elizah > Alizay or Zeiah"

Good luck!

mukai has to go.
kids will be teasing him with that name for years.
I know that's not what you wanted to hear and I respect your apreciation of uniqueness and difference, but you have to thing about your child also and what's best for them. Kids can be vicious. They can't just leave other kids alone they feel the need to tease them because they're different. Trust me, as a mother, for future reference, you don't want your child coming home crying evey day.
I'm not fond of Alfred, but
other than that all the boy names are good
I would choose either micheal or Jayden.
As for girls...
I think Trinity is a beautiful name
another suggestion to you would be Liv. It means peace.
Good Luck in your search and I wish you some of the happiest years of your life with your child
God bless.

my daughter is called dominique and she is 26 and loves it -
use a proper name (not a made up one like jayden) and think
of what the initials would look like i.e peter raymond alfred parker = prat
josiah is a nice name - also i met a little girl in goa called
Valencia which everyone thought was a lovely name.
don't use a name that people can't pronounce - it really embarrases children - there are some really nice french names
for both boys and girls that are unusual but not ridiculous - remember the child has to live with it for the rest of their life!
good luck

I have a cousin named Josiah and it is an awesome name and he is one of the original people I know. His brothers name is Obadiah and his sisters are Arie and Hannah.
I like Emory and Zeiah for a girl.
People are always going to want to judge a kid based on their name. Any kids name can be potentially made fun of so who cares what other people think. Its the people who think of names to tease a child with that teased others when they were children and probably who have children who tease others. If people would just stop then it would not be such a big deal and we could name our kids what makes us happy

Jayden and Aden are nice for boy names, although I know about 4 jaydens that are being born this year. Lexy is cute for a little girl. I would stay away from Alizay, Trinity, or Destiny... they kind of sound like stripper names, but that is just my opinion. Good luck!
