In my job search, I've resigned from the attitude "what can I do" to "what will you let me do". Sounds very communist to to me.

Maybe that is your attitude?

The United States has always been both of those statements.

Those with a lot of determination have the attitude "What can I do". They make great changes in the world.

Others don't have the drive or ambition. They sit around the net complaining all the time. So they are resigned to "What will you let me do".

I am in the same boat. So have all the great people been.
The do what others want them to do, and in their spare time, they do what they want to do.

Nobody is going to ever give you a free ride.
You will have to pay for every step you take.

Looking at the massive private corporate earnings and the wide margins between economic classes in the US it's clearly not a communistic country in any way.

Communism is an ideology that seeks to establish a classless, stateless social organization, based upon common ownership of the means of production.

Do you really feel that we live in such a state? Your apathy is better described another way.

the united states. Democratic status. grew to become into the source of the debate at Valley Forge. The founding fathers have been democratic. the folk who needed a republic just about starved the finished American military out to coach their factor. Then it grew to become into set up as a democracy for the folk and Thomas Jefferson ended up speaking lots approximately it. Then those losers referred to as the puratins got here in, representing the republic (huge agencies). They fought for just about a hundred years to opposite the form and each and all of the equivalent rights stuff. Now you spot it, they nonetheless attempt to make it a nazi or king james state. yet maximum of what they have completed is public. via fact of their joker mentality, now many extensive financial industry based entities have greater skill then human beings and truthfully contradict what usa stands for. usa is meant to be a democracy, yet via corrupt idiots who took unrestrained movements. some issues like the federal government. even nonetheless they seem to be a company. As a ruling physique. it is in trouble-free terms a mish mash of sturdy human beings and grimy people who help enterprise over human beings.

Actually, that's mostly the opposite of communist ideals.

It sounds like your ideas keep getting smacked down - perhaps not because they don't like you, but that your ideas might be too hard to implement or that they don't share the same logic that you do.
