What are so many convinced that the ancient Egyptians were black?

Why do you white people care so much what race they are, What goes on in Africa is non of your business, you dont see us Asians crying over whether they were black -in fact most of us know they were black, of course with some NON caucasian-mid east ancestry, so be like us and leave the blacks alone. Face it blacks out done, both whites and we asians in technology in the ancient world and yes they heavily influece what we have now, but so what asians and white are responsible for most of todays advances, even though they were influenced by ancient blacks (egyptians). So give credit what where credit is due and stick to the pale pink skin, blode hair, and bule eyed albinos of Europe and leave the coloreds alone-Seriously, just leave them be.

Personally I think that they were blacks because Egypt is in Africa and in that time the world was not globalized like today where everything is mixed. Kemet was the name that ancient egyptians gave to their country, and it means "The black land", and just look at their faces, they look like black people and yeah some people are going to say "but they painted themselves as brown, yellow and not as black" but hey hello?? there is an egyptian god Osiris, he is depicted with GREEN skin and what? are they going to say that ancient egyptians were not, black, not white but GREEN????????. So when I watch a movie or a documentary representing ancient Egyptians like white, blonde, blue eyed people, I just can say "oh come on give me something real not that ****" so if there is people thinking that ancient egyptians could be white then why not represent Aztecs, Mayas, etc like white, blue eyed people too?? it makes not sence. And yes they were very inteligent make bigger pyramids does not mean that they are more inteligent, they (Mayas) just made it biggers, that's all. And YEAH they were the most advanced civilization in the ancient world, and romans, greeks, etc just took some of it and made it looks like it was their own.

I wouldn't say the most advanced at all.But the reason most people believe they were black,is because Egypt is in fact in AFRICA for starters, and they were not necessarily black but just a darker toned skin.BTW Cleopatra was not Egyptian she was of Grecian descent..And actually the Mayans were extremely smart and actually built even taller pyramids.

Pharaoh Seqenenre Tao of the 17th dynasty and the 19th dynasty's Rameses II had light brown and blond hair. Pharaoh Siptah (a great-grandson of Ramesses II) had red hair, traits found distinct of caucasians. The paintings in egypt have shown blue eyed people, caucasian traits, while heavily diluted in semitics and persians still exist today. The ancient egyptians were a mixed society of nords, semitics and ****** used for manual labour.

Im not because the Ancient Egyptians were the most advanced civilization in Africa ever. And if you look at the rest of Africa the answer is obvious. I see no pyramids amongst the mud huts. Don't look for any kind of ancient books in the mud huts either you won't find them. They did not exist. For the simple fact they had no written language.

They're from Northern Africa but really had more Middle Eastern physical characteristics. I think that since Egypt is located on the African continent many people assume that they were black.
