It's hard to say untill we see what they do in the draft. I think Kubiack can do good things for the Texans if given the chance to have more say in the draft this year. I really don't think he had that much say in the last one with him just being hired and all. But I could be wrong. He does need to step up the the Owner and GM and say that Carr is not the QB for us! Anyway there's always hope for next year, afterall the Texans weren't the worst team at the end of this season.

I hate to keep talking about last years draft but if your offense line is going to be bad you may want to have a QB that can move around and make things happen like oh I dont know Vince Young. They also need guys that can put points on the board in many different ways like Reggie Bush, maybe. But the Texans have neither and its just a thought but you may want to have one of those guys if your defense is going to give up points. Lets face it unless Mario Williams can score touchdowns than the Texans will suck for a long time. Sorry.

Alot will depend if they will actually take the draft seriously and will they use the free agency effectively to find Carr some protection. The team isn't that far off from being a good team, but management just seems to find a way to screw up or ignore certain problems. I still don't understand the Mario Williams pick over Bush. I still don't understand why they won't be aggressive and get some O-line talent. I still don't understand why they blame everything on Carr. Its like sending a soldier out to the battlefield alone and asking him to win the war.

I think the draft pick will help the Texans but there going to have to find the right strategy for their team, so it will probably be a year or two until the Texans have a winning record.

This is what they need to do. 1. Get rid of David Carr (trade for Plummer), 2. Draft a playmaker ( Lynch, C. Johnson, or a QB), 3 Trade carr, A Johnson, and first round draft pick for V Young. ( It worked in Madden NFL 07) Just win more games. I too am a Houston fan but they just need to win. Beating the browns is not enough.

Nope. They've had chances to be good, and let superbowl caliber players slip through their fingers time and time again. Now, they want to send Carr off in search of another draft pick. It'll be years before they have a winning season, and even longer if they stick with Gary Kubiak. Cowher, Shottenheimer, and maybe even Parcells will be on the market next year. They need to get moving, its been four years since they were brought into the NFL, and they've accomplished absolutely nothing.

By the looks of this schedule, I doubt they'll do that well. This looks pretty tough. They may get a win against the Lions, 49ers (once), and the Seahawks (once). Maybe the Bears. Other than that, they don't stand a chance. 3-13 or 4-12.

Well, they might but most likely they will not. The Houston Texans have never prospered so why next year? They didn't make any good trades and what else.

NO! They have a long way to go! They can win a maximum of 7 games and that is being EXTREMELY OPTIMISTIC!!! The division their in is too hard now. It might depend on which out of division teams they play in 2007.

no. their management has ignored glaring problems in the past and will do it again. david carr is not a half bad quarterback, but the quarterback is only as good as his line. they will need to address problems in the secondary, tight end, o-line and hope that mario williams progresses a lot to even hope for a 8-8 record.
