I'm not sure about runways, but print and commercial modelling may be an option for you. You just need to find a reputable modelling agency who will take you on.

Good luck : )

Plus size modeling is becoming more and more of an industry. Are you set on runway or would you also enjoy print advertising?? You could also attend open calls. I would research some good agencies and then send some pictures in. Try to get your pictures professionally done so that you look serious about persuing a future in modelling. They may want you to lose weight, however. But if your build is really a size 14, it may work for you. Runway modelling usually consists of size 0s, but there may be an oppurtunity in plus size runway. If not, print advertsising (such as being in ads in magazines) is needed for plus sizes just as much as for the standard size 0 model.

Whatever you do, don't give up on your dreams! That may sound cheesy, but its true. You don't want to be 75 years old and regretting that you never tried to do what you loved.

Good luck!

The things that u can't change about yourself are your bone structure and face. Do people consider you pretty? Then you've got a plus. Do you have a wide bone structure? In this case, even if you loose all that weight you still won't have the size required. If you decide to loose weight, by all means to that through sport and a healthy diet, otherwise your skin will look horrible, not to mention all the other health problems. Finally, don't forget that being a model is a job that you can do for only a few years of your life, so think about it, is it worth the trouble? I wish you the best of luck, take the best decision;)

Great im a size 14 toO! but im a model, a sucessful model.
Go to modeling agency listings and they can give you websites, call them and speak to one of the employees and ask them what they require in body type.
Many places such as barbizon and age take plus-sized big, fat, people.
You can become anything if you want if you put your mind to it, you don't have to be a certain size to pursue anything.
Now im not saying dont excersize, keep healthy, stay healthy, eat right, and excersize.
It'll make you look good and most importantly FEEL good.

You might be able to be a print (photos) model, but runway is for sickly stick figures. I have heard that it is because it is run by gay men for the most part and they like women who are less curvey. Straight men like women who are more womanly, so it has nothing to do with beauty. Those runway models are also really tall un-naturally so.

Try to find a dream that is not based on looks, becuase we cannot be young forever.

plus size? but its quite competitive, you have to be a really good madel, be really pretty, and have good proportions (big boobs and bum, smallish waist). the modeling isnt as glamourous either, and theres not as much money in it.

if you really want big fame and money, and you want to work in the high fashion industry, you'd probably have to loose weight to be honest.
