How do you know when your spouse is lying to you?

I know for sure if he says:
"I promise" or "I'll do it tomorrow."

I know because he just doesn't seem honest. It's just a feeling I get. But I also know if he says "I'll do it tomorrow." I think that's what all guys say to get you off their back. Some people blink too much, mine just seems too eager or upset, especially if he can tell I don't beleive him. Lke, he'll get mad at me or try WAY to hard to convince me he's telling the "truth". Usually, but not always, if they don't seem to care that you don't beleive him, that's a sign that they know if you look into it, you won't find anything amiss, so they're not worried. They get worried if they think you can, and will, check on their lies.

When someone is lying and your setting face to face with them looking in the eyes thing. Just before they lie they will break eye contact and look off and sometimes down to the left. Government officials use this method to detect lies. And I found out a lot of lawyers that hire face readers use it to.

If he gets to quiet about things he usually isn't about. He is dead give away though he talks alot when lying and he is mostly a man of few words so it is so obvious.

my husband always touches the side of his face when he is lying. I read that men blink more too but I cant prove that one.
