You should turn on your pop-up blocker on all of your browsers.

In Firefox, go to tools, then options, then find the pop-up blocker and activate it.

In Explorer, do the same thing.

In both browsers, you have the option of specifying sites that you want to exclude from this blocking, so any particular places where you need a popup can be specified.

Unfortunately, it appears that your computer is infected with adware, spyware or both. Though Ad Aware and AVG antivirus are good security software, no security software is 100% effective. When it comes to adware and spyware, using multiple antispyware programs is recommended. There are other free antispyware programs, such as Spybot Search & Destroy, Microsoft's Windows Defender and AVG antispyware. You can find all 3 programs - with download links - at http://www.filehippo.com/software/antispyware/

Download the software and install them. Be sure to update them before running a scan. Quarantine any suspicious files. Unfortunately, the free antispyware programs are not as effective as the paid versions. If these free programs fail to remove the malicious files, you might have to spend some money to get a better program, such as Spy Sweeper or Spyware Doctor.

If you have the latest service pack for your operating system, then this should stop it. If not get a popup blocker from google or yahoo.

I bet anything you have adware on your computer. Download adaware and run it. Also run spybot to check for spyware.
