I'm 12 years old. I am 5'5'' (five foot, five inches) and I weigh 106 pounds. I'm noticing a few tiny purplish lines above my thighs, kind of on my butt. I only know these things to be stretch marks from that ugly pregnancy commercial. Why am I getting a few of them? I'm not fat at all. I'm very thin. What's wrong with me?
PS
haha. I can't be pregnant.
PS again
Is this one of those things that everyone thinks is weird when it happens to them but it really happens to everyone?

Well hun, I had the same thing happen to me. I was about 12 or 13 when I first noticed I was developing stretch marks. At that young of an age, it can be caused by sports which is why I had them(Gymnastics). So your physical activity could have something to do with it. And nothing is wrong with you, it does happen. And now would be the best time to start doing things to prevent them from getting worse. Start using either cocoa butter or shea butter and pair that up with Vitamin E gel. One wacky thing I have heard that works to fade them is putting Vic's Vapor Rub onto a cloth or paper towel and rubbing vigarously into the marks before you go to bed for a few weeks. I hope that helped!!

Some people are more prone to getting stretch marks than others, its just genetics. I got some stretch marks as I was growing up, I was very thin. I think it was just from growing taller. I got bunches and bunches of stretch marks when I was pregnant with my son. So be forewarned, when and if you do have a child (many many years from now!) you will probably get them then too. They will fade over time but wont disappear completely.

It's probably from your hips spreading and storing fat at a high rate. It's one of those things that really bothers some women but guys don't really mind. It's just part of womanhood. At least you don't have to worry about going bald.
