I have searched for long time and then I found that Norton is the best one but know this :Norton is strong against viruses but spy I don't think so you will need a spyware remover there is a free and strong one from google or you can use Mcafee it has a great definition and you can also use windows pop-up to help your protection so in the final result you can try Mcafee but make sure to stay up tp date good luck ...

If what you are referring to is a pop up that is flashing or says something like
ALERT! YOUR SYSTEM MAY BE INFECTED!
It is a spam advert. Ignore it.
But to answer your other question, the best anti-spyware program is Ad-Aware SE. It is free, and I use it very frequently.
Another very good one is SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY. Also free.

Free Anti-Spyware:
--AVG Anti-Spyware http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 is a free anti-spyware protection tool developed by GRISOFT for home use.
--SPYBOT - SEARCH & DESTROY http://www.safer-networking.org/ Download and install Spybot - Search & Destroy with its TeaTimer option. This will provide realtime spyware & hijacker protection on your computer alongside your virus protection. You should also scan your computer with the program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software.
--AD-AWARE http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware Download and install Ad-Aware. You should use this program to scan your computer on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software in conjunction with Spybot.
--SpywareGuard http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard.html to catch and block spyware before it can execute.
--SpywareBlaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html to help prevent spyware from installing in the first place. Install & update SpywareBlaster with the latest definitions. After you have updated, click the button - enable protection for all unprotected items.

Most 'warnings' are a scam, but it doesn't hurt to have some anti-spyware software anyway.
Go to lavasoft.com and get 'adaware personal'
It is free, keep it updated regularly and run a full scan every couple of days to keep spyware and other junk off your machine.

Where does the "ALERT" come from???
If it comes from "windows messenger", you need to turn off windows messenger!
Start>control panel>administrative tools>scroll down to "messenger" and disable.
