I think it's all just a bunch of BS when people say "go for what you're interested in" ...in the end it's just for money and material things. I'm sorry but I don't want to pursue a career that I won't be able to get a job in, I want a job where I can afford the brand new Corvette that I wanna get.

So many people despise their job. So many people work only for earning money without any passion for what they do for their job. So many people in this world working only for servicing someone else's dream not your own dream and goals. That explains why so many people unhappy with their job because they just simply have to earn money only without have any compassions at all for what they do. Pity but true....

I've worked at a job I hate so I can get paid very well for the past year and a half. Basically I feel like a prostitute and dread getting up every morning, except Saturdays and Sundays. Right now I am trying to decide whether to change careers, 'cause I'm so unhappy. I'll think I'd rather take a paycut if I can be happy at work!

If you really think money will bring you happiness, then I say, go for it! If that's what you enjoy, going to work knowing you're bringing home a good amount of money, more power to you. Even though you might spend two-thirds of your life not driving that car, instead working at something that frustrates and annoys you. Most people want a career they enjoy because it's more important to be happy and whistling while you clip coupons than be miserable and alone driving down the road in an expensive car.

I don't love my job, I don't hate it. I've never been a career oriented person though. I have a job for one reason: to pay my mortgage and buy me toys! lol I'm definitely not one of those people who say "if I won the lottery I think I would keep working" nooo way.

I think you need both. What is it worth to have all the stuff you want if you hate getting up in the morning to go to work? But what good is an awesome job if it can't pay for what you need and want. But I like my job, and it pays enough for me right now.

I love my job, and thankfully it pays pretty well now that I have some expirience under my belt. I get to poke people with needles all day, who could ask for anything more?

my mom is crazy about her job - she always works and she really adores it, she is a pharmaceutical chemist
