is there something you can eat or drink or take that would keep you from dreaming?

Last night I had a nightmare that was bad enough as to where the sounds of my crying woke me.

I really don't want to do this anymore..

If you learn to lucid dream (conciously being aware that you are dreaming) you can conquer the dream in some way.
Do a reality check aal the time like holding your nose, then you will do this as you are dreaming and realise you can still breath through your nose and you awaken

I'm really not sure. Have you spoken to your Doctor about this? I had a nightmare a few nights ago which resulted in me waking up, sobbing my heart out. It's the most awful feeling. It took me ages to settle down. Even after waking up and I knew it was a dream, the feeling stayed with me....it's very unsettling.

Maybe your dream is trying to tell you something....what's going on in your life right now? It might be best to try and find out what the meaning of your dream is about, rather than trying to push it deep down with pills.

Just my thoughts on this and, I hope you have a more restful sleep tonight. :-)

My girlfriend gets alot of nightmares, there isnt many things you can do to stop it, try thinking nice thoughts before you sleep and maybe you should try to relax and take time to de stress yourself by yoga, swimming etc.. Maybe watching nice movies before you sleep could help, avoid cheese and caffeine late at night aswell..

dreaming is all your thoughts gathered into one. dreams only avtually last for a few minutes and are at the end of your sleeping pattern. thats why you often wake up half way throught them

i don't think there is, people always dream they just can't always remember them. Perhaps you could try not to get agitated or upset before going to bed and your dreams may be kinder.

sorry i can't be more help.
