Your experience is not long, better you try through employment agencies as an expertise from a foreign country, in that case you may get a good job with high salary. If you try yourself directly, you'll find it very difficult to get a job.

Hi Sara,
I am a banker myself, but I live in Abu Dhabi and can't work in my field (forex) coz I am a woman and do not speak Arabic. In Dubai the chances are much better. But - please be aware that 1) banks have to employ a certain percentage on UAE Nationals and 2) there are many good educated Indians working in this field for a salary you don't work for. The salary structure in India is totally different then from the US. The half of the salary you earn in US means big money for Indians. Can't blame banks for hiriring Indians before they hire Americans or Europeans. But you have one advantage and this is you speak Arabic. So, go head and try it anyway. Forget any Islamic Bank as a woman. Try the foreign banks like HSBC, Abn Amro etc.
I used to work for an Arabic Bank back home and even there it was very difficult for a woman to have a position in the management. Besides beeing a secretary.
Did you ever think about working for a broker's company? A friend of mine had a Job in a comp. owned by a Saudi Prince and made Dhs 18 k. Anyway, I give you some links frome recruitment companies. Look for a suitable opening or send in your CV and you will contacted when a suitable opening comes up.

The last 4 are the ones which offer "higher" positions.
Dhs 6.000 - 8000 is considered a "good" salary for a woman. Please think about the living costs in Dubai. You will not find any official figures how much will be paid for a certain job. Here you do not have this structure and every salary will be negoitaed different. Depends on if you are a man or woman, nationality and experience.
Do not only see the salary. Look what comes beside it, like housing, transportation, health insurance etc.
Good luck!

To answer your specific question, expect to make between 30,000 USD - 60,000 USD tax free (both US and local).
Dubai is an exciting place to live. The projects underway are enormous and spectacular. I've lived in Dubai for a year freelancing. As a Westerner you can expect a decent expat package which would include round-trip airfare for you and your family (it's required by law) once a year back home; and in many cases a housing, transportation, furniture, and educational (children) allowances. What expat package you receive depends on how much in demand your skills are needed.
Keep in mind you will be competing with people from all over the world rushing to Dubai for the same reasons you have. In the customer service area, your competition will come from Europeans, South Africans, and Australians.
I should point out that the job market is very different from the US. In the US, you pick up the paper or browse careers.com and apply. In Dubai, a lot of the job leads come from word of mouth and connections. Also, it tends to be very cliquish. What I mean by that, is you will have a group within a company (or the company itself) dominated by one nationality.
If you could tell me more about what area you're looking to break into. I might be able to point in the right direction.

You get paid more, you don't pay tax.........you pay more to live. Can't get everything for nothing.
It is industry specific. You might start at about $6k a month. I've seen some jobs up $12k a month. A studio can cost you $1200 a month. You like alcohol? Uuuuuum very few places to go for that and the Driving laws around that are strict.

If you are an American, you can expect to be paid more than average, but how much depends partly on the industry you are in and your gender.
As with every profession, experience is paramount to getting more money, and more so with management. But in Dubai, if you can show sufficient knowledge and panache you might get away with less experience.
In short - get more experience in management in the US before moving to Dubai!
Good luck!

To be something against the order as such became a criminal offense. The used witnesses decrease back then for many of their data. there became prestige and attractiveness additionally inthere. To arrest you right this moment on one in all those element, nicely they does no longer have sufficient place of work work and law enforcement officials and homes to place all of them in. as nicely quite some the economic device might close down if it wasn't for them.
