You say the reduction is 'needed'....if the size is causing problems for you (back pain, etc) then you could go to your doctor and explain your symptoms to him - if he diagnoses this as a problem then it's possible you could get it done for medical reasons. A girl I knew had a reduction for medical reasons.

There is an alternative-I would like to let you know about a health care savings plan that you can save on not only hospitals, doctors, dentists, and more. It also covers elective surgeries and a pre-existing condition does not matter. Email me at amiekalista22@yahoo.com and I can either email you back or call, whichever you are more comfortable with. There are ways you can afford such a thing. Keep your head up!

I'm so sorry to hear that. The surgery can change the way your back feels...

If you register and post at http://www.breasthealthonline.com you could get a better group of people to answer your questions.

Good luck and I hope you get it!

Mind if I ask how come you don't have insurance? Does your job not cover medical insurance?

Could you try COBRA? OR AFLAC?

Ask your physician if there are any medical schools in your area where you can get a free breast reduction.

Talk to the doc and his/her office manager. They may be willing to work out payment arrangements. Depending on your income, you may also be eligible for state and/or federal aid.
