I'm from a small town/semi rural area and have to move away to find a good job following redundancy. Can anyone suggest somewhere in Southern England, a small town or semi rural area rather than a city, which is safe, clean and prosperous?

worthing west sussex everything you will need fairly cheap house prices lots of job oppertunities semi rural ,countryside around 5 miles away latest shops ,pubs ,clubs ,seaside , lovely !

lGoing by the news we are one of the worst places to live. How sad is that. So many negative reasons to bring our kids up here. Why on eartth are we helping some many other countries and our own is suffering so bad. Dont get me wrong I agree we should help but only when our own country is a safe and prosperous country to live in. Wish you luck in your new job and hope you agree it has to change very quickly. These M.Ps and Lords who sit most of the time in Parliament looking and siounding like the muppets or are asleep need to take NOTICE what is going on outside their own comfortable surroundings.

Harlow it's near London,
It's a great town and everwhere is easy to get to
It's quite rural and many villages surround it,
But it's not so rural that you can't get what you need,
I wouldn't live anywhere else

Maidstone? home of the original chav! Brighton is the best , more &more large firms moving here from London, lots of work, lots of nightlife, Oh did i mention we have a beach as well- well yea the sand is quite fat, but hey !!
