I am 4 months and one week pregnant. I am experiencing major lower lower abdominal pain and lower back pain. It hurts the most when i fully extend my body (standing up straight/laying on my back with my legs down. It isnt really a cramping, its more of a VERY harsh pressure. I haven't had any spotting. I had a pain further up in my abdomen and was told by my doctor and u guys that it was more than likely "round ligament pain" well this feels completely different. I have already contacted my doctor but it will be 30 mins to a hour before i get an answer from her. Do any of you know what this might be? Have you experienced it? Should i go to the hospital? All of your answers will be very much so appreciated.

It sounds like something is pressing against a nerve. The baby might be lodged against something that is causing the pain. By all means, go to the emergency room if you have to to get some answers and peace of mind, not to mention some much needed relief from how bad this must feel!

Probably round ligament pain along with the hormone relaxin kicking in, I had a hard time with my back and all of my joints around 3.5-4 months and it only lasted a few days and went away. I know it will be back though!

Ah, the 20 week, round ligament pain. Totally normal. Have you tried a Tylenol? That helped me. Also, walking helped me, thirty minutes a day, five days a week. It really helped my body relax.

First of all, dont take any meds without the advice from your Dr. Rest until you hear from your Dr.
If you get worse, then do what you have to do to get the attention you and baby need.
Good luck Hon.
