This is all off the top of my head, so mostly I don't have exact dates.

Non-aggression pact: Mid-August 1939

VJ day: 2 Sept 1945

British and French entry: 3 Sept 1939

Nagasaki: Around 9 August 1945

Churchill: May 1940

Hiroshima: Around 6 August 1945

Italian declaration of war: 10 June 1940: The hand that held the dagger has stabbed it into the back of its neighbor...

German surrender: 8 May 1945

French surrender: late June 1940

I don't know what the Burke-Wadsworth act is.

Paris liberation: July 1944.

German invasion of USSR: 21 June 1941.

Italian realignment: Fall of 1943

Sicilian landing, really contemporaneous with the previous.

That's the best I can do, but I take pride in never looking up answers, so that's what you get.
