Do they immediatly fix it, report the game, continue playing with it even if it's broken?

If a player like Shaq dunks it too hard I mean

if there's a replacement, they will fix the broken board and play resumes.

if none, they will cancel the game.

in the NBA, they will fine the offending person. the NBA made it illegal to shatter boards with dunks.

There is usually a 20 minute delay to sweep up the glass and put up a new board and rim.

in the past when backboards were shattered or when the support stanchions that hold them up were damaged , time was taken and necessary repairs done on sight...breaking acrylic backboards was a pretty common occurrence at one time (Darryl Dawkins of the 6ers broke two) but the last time I saw one just come down was Shaq...yep, basically they just make repairs on the spot then continue the game afterward...

They would stop the game, clean up the floor and replace the board/rim.

they usually have a replacement that they can use, for some hightschools they would probably cancel the game until it gets fixed,

it wont happen.... the glass and rim is made to even withstand shaq..... it is possible in high school maybe where the glass is not as good quality.
