I've heard one of their songs, "Killing Loniless", and I like the band so far, but when I wanted to buy a necklace with their symbol or whatever and my dad said that they were some stanic thing? Is that true? And can you give me some like "background info" on them?

you can pronounce it 'him' like a boy but it really stands for H.I.M. = His Infernal Majesty.
They are just some goth rock band. Their satanic image is just a show. Don't take it too seriously. I think they are alright because they have a certain bluesy 'Danzig'-esque sound to certain songs and I am a huge Misfits/Danzig fan.

Its pronounced HIM like as in a boy. When the band first came out the name did stand for His Infernal Majesty... but they dropped it after awile and just kept HIM as the name instead of having it stand for anything!They are not satanic although their earlier stuff was pritty iffy! They are not satanic!!! I have researched for a long time and have found out they are not satanic! At first my parents freaked out at me too! Now my mom loves the band! They did not like their symbol, the Heartagram... it does look like a pentagram, but the meaning behind it is a perfect balance of good and evil, life and death, love and hate. Their music is called Love Metal! I love all their music, and they are not satanic becuz back awile ago in Finland (where the band is from) some people were demolishing old churches in the names of bands like HIM and others... The band was very mad at that and even went to say that the people who did that were complete idiots! I hope this helped! I love HIM!

The band HIM is a Finnish rock band(they are from Finland) and there symbol the heartagram is not satanism it means the perfect balance between life and death there music is often referred to as love metal..and there name is pronounced HIM (like a boy)

they actually started out as HER..but soon changed the name because there was currently a band that already had the name HIM.
their symbol is the heartagram..standing for love and death..since their opinion on their music genre would be Love Metal. their also not satanic at all. they dont believe in god or the devil or heaven and hell. they believe in something else.
Their from Helsinki, Finnland and people would say goth rock. they have several albums..very good stuff.
my favorite albums would be. "razorblade romance, And love said no(greatests hits) and " love metal"
