Anger is a very powerful and energetic emotion unlike, for instance, shame which can be a very draining and disempowering emotion.

My anger enables me to face something with assertion and positivity. My shame makes me want to crawl away and hide.

My anger energises me and lifts me to my feet to stand firm and tall, my shame keeps me down and limp.

My anger releases adrenaline and endorphins into my body and readies me for fight or defence. My shame decreases my immune system's ability to fight disease.

My anger helps me face each difficult person or day and strive to come through hopeful and intact. My shame excludes me more and more from others and diminishes me a little every day.

My anger gives me power. The power it gives me is not power over others to hurt or oppress. The power it gives me is empowering, fighting what needs to be fought, standing up for myself and others, power to change something that needs changing.

My anger gives me power.

Not sure exactly how you mean that. I say anger actually takes away your power. If you are not in control, then you are powerless.
