I was told that I could go into the post office, give them cash and they would wire? the money to the person waiting in another state and they could pick it up in the state they live in and the cost would be $10.00. Is that possible?

well it may suprise you but the US postal does
wire money but only international to these countries

if its just in the US then you have to get a Postal Money order

Nope we were told that too but they dont only money orders.

there are postal money order's but i've never heard of it done electronically.
