what do you mean.. not move. Are you talking in days, hours?

My wife used to put ice on her belly if she sensed that the baby was not moving. The baby will respond to the cold. Try that.

If the baby doesn't respond. Go to your doctor, immediately.

They don't ask you to begin kick counts until week 28, so it is probably ok, depending on how long it has really been since you felt the baby. If it's been a few hours, I'd drink a glass of cold water, or maybe something with a lot of sugar, and lay down on my left side and see if that gets the little one going. If it's been more than a day, I'd probably call my doctor.

Any time you are worried about anything, call the doctor. That's what they are there for. They want to know if you are concerned and they want to help out if something really is wrong. They can tell you whether or not you need to be seen, and put your mind at ease.

Good luck and congratulations on your little one!

How long has it been since you felt the last movement??

A couple hours or a couple days??

Babies can have up and down days...days where they play all day and kick around like a ninja and they have days where they just chill and relax!

I'm 25 weeks and my baby is ALWAYS quiet on the weekends...I can sometimes go all weekend and feel her once or twice....(my sister was the exact same with both of her pregnancies...both babies were completely quiet the entire weekend).

Also, if you're constantly on the move (walking around a lot...physically moving) she will be less active. Typically your movement causes her to be rocked to sleep.

Ask your DR about it...but I wouldn't worry. Like you, I'm at 25 weeks and my baby has days off just like I do :)

I would call your dr. just because you are concerned and that is what they are there for. Here is a bit of info that might help.

You probably won't feel your baby kick until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks, even though he started moving at 7 or 8 weeks and you may have already witnessed his acrobatics if you've had an ultrasound. Every woman is different.

Veteran moms tend to notice those first subtle kicks — also known as "quickening" — earlier than first-time moms. (A woman who's been pregnant before can more easily distinguish her baby's kick from other belly rumblings, such as gas.)

Your build may also have something to do with when you'll be able to tell a left jab from a hunger pang. Thinner women tend to feel movement earlier and more often than women who carry more weight.
Women have described the sensation as being like popcorn popping, a goldfish swimming around, or butterflies fluttering. You'll probably chalk up those first gentle taps or swishes in your belly to gas or hunger pains, but once you start feeling them more regularly, you'll recognize the difference. You're more likely to feel these early movements when you're sitting or lying quietly.

At first the kicks you notice will be few and far between. In fact, you may feel several movements one day and then none the next. Although your baby is moving and kicking regularly, many of his jerks and jolts aren't yet strong enough for you to feel. But later in the second trimester, those reassuring kicks will become stronger and more regular.

If you're tempted to compare notes with other pregnant women, don't worry if your experience differs from that of your friends. Every baby has his own pattern of activity, and there's no correct one.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR AND PUT YOUR MIND AT PEACE.

Call your doctor right now and tell them when you last remember feeling the baby move. They'll probably advise you drink a glass of juice and lay down for half an hour. If you don't feel the baby moving, you'll need to go in for an ultrasound.

It's possible that your baby is being lazy, or that your placenta has shifted a bit making it harder for you to feel the movements. However, it is imperative that you contact your doctor RIGHT AWAY. Your baby could be in distress and need intervention immediately.

Good luck!

Both of my boys were active off and on throughout pregnancy. They'd go a week where I'd think they were playing soccer in there and it's like the next week they rested from all the activity. I think it's totally normal and don't forget as the bigger they get they have less room to move around so you might not feel as much activity because they have less room to wiggle. I noticed that when I was moving around a lot it lulled them to sleep and when I sat super quiet for a while they'd kinda wake up so try sitting down for an hour and concentrating on what's going on in there. Get one of those heart beat monitors that have the headphones, it will make you feel so much better to hear the heart beat and they are pretty inexpensive in most stores too! Good luck! Take 'er easy...

At 25 weeks I felt decreased movement but I still felt him just not as much. I would call your doctor immediately just to make sure!

Any decrease in movement should be reported to the doctor immediately. That being said, the baby is getting too big to move the way he used to, so you may just not notice it.

If you are overweight it may take a while I am 22 weeks and just felt him move recently. Lie on your back and stay still and see if the baby kicks you or try other positions. Other than that I say call your doctor and ask there are no stupid questions when it comes to being pregnant.

You should call your doctor immediately. You don't say what lately is but if I went any longer than 24 hours I would start to freak out. I am 19 weeks.
