I grew up in Illinois and everything seemed normal until after 9/11 happened, and I started going to school in Chicago. A few years after I realize I can't stand it here. I'm sick and tired of these backwoods type people and how "normal" their immoral and messed up cultural beliefs are to them. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of nice people here, but often they seem washed out by the general culture. I went to Manhattan once and it was nothing like Chicago. People generally only cared about themselves and their business, they didn't need to affirm themselves by being judgemental or rude to strangers, and weren't anywhere near as typically ignorant and racist as the people in Chicago (and don't try and tell me people in Chicago aren't like this). I'm truly sick of the narrow-minded and morally degenerate people here and their backwoods mentality and want to try something else. Anyone else have the same experience? Do you recommend other cities or areas of the U.S.? Thanks.

I am an airline pilot and have lived in 17 states. I am from California originally and have also lived in France and Brazil. No matter where you are its the person that makes the place and your attitude counts for alot. Aside from that, I suggest because of the nightlife and culture and proximity to getting away when you are tired of the city in this order: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle/Portland, New York- that's it. Don't go to El Paso, its a shthole. In Texas, I would suggest only Austin-that's a cool city

Yes. Only God in his omniscience has all the data, and in his perfect wisdom recognizes the essential combination of faith and good works needed to restore a broken relationship with God. I was struck that Zacchaeus neither confessed Jesus Christ as his Savior nor prayed a sinner's prayer. What restored Zacchaeus's broken relationship with God was his offer of restitution: "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount." We often see people who have been doing wrong ask that they not be punished or pay restitution because they have changed their hearts and become Christians. But this is a pretty good sign that they have NOT changed their hearts. Zacchaeus shows us that those who repent recognize that they deserve punishment or owe restitution. Cheers, Bruce

I'd try Seattle dude. It is a very tolerant, multiracial society. Like any city, having a job and money helps. Good luck.
