The answer is quite simple. CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even if we WERE doctors, we cannot diagnose you over the internet. That's what you have an OB/GYN for.

Don't forget that at 34 weeks you are already stretched to the max, and if that little dude is active and you are in pain it's because he/she is pushing on already "maxed out" areas! If you are worried about labor, don't be because the baby usually gets very quiet as it moves downward, getting ready for birth. The activity is probably causing the pain, make sure you don't drink anything with a lot of sugar or caffein in it and although it might be kinda uncomfortable, go for a little (slow) walk - sometimes the movement will lull the baby to sleep and you get get some relief. It'll be ok! :)

First off call your OB. He/She needs to be informed of what you're feeling.
As for the pains.... when in labor you should be able to "time" contractions. If you're having them and they are in a repeatable matter, then time them, and write them down. The more information you can give to your Dr the better.
However, you said the baby is very active? That doesn't sound like labor. The baby would be still, and you wouldn't feel it for at least 2 days. It needs it's rest for the big day.
But again, non of us are medically capable of giving you medical advice. All we can do is tell you what WE think might be best.
And it seems to be the same thing.....
CALL your ob, or go get checked out. It's better to be safe then sorry!
Good luck~

two things to try...
a warm shower, if it stops its braxton hicks and not real contractions...there was nights I would get into the shower 3 times in the middle of the night, but it always worked
lay down on your left side for about 1/2 hr or so, relax as best you can while doing it, it they stop then it is not real

Dont worry your baby will move around loads inside you and as you are so far along your baby is much bigger so you feel it more.If you are that concerned call your midwife but keep calm as it is all going to be fine.you will know when you are in labour and close to giving birth as it will ,i am afraid to say,be alot more painful and i dont think you would be on your computer.like i said dont worry it a wonderful thing having a baby and you do get a bit scared but i hope that you enjoy being a mom as much as i do.good luck and take care.xxx

Call your doctor. Get it checked. Better to be safe than sorry. Especially if you are early. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I kept having false labor. So, when for about the 5th time, I was having pains, I didn't call. It was the one time I was actually in labor. If my hubby hadn't insisted on going to get checked, she would have been born at 30 weeks. CALL.

When in doubt, and especially when in pain, call your OB. There is always someone oncall to take your questions.
As there is a possibility of a preterm labor, your doctor should be notified immediately.

Call your doctor! He's the only one that knows your history. He might want you to come in for a check up just to make sure everything is okay.

Stay off your feet,, try to get as comfortable as possible. Have someone make an appointment to see your doctor, or make a hospital visit. Ensure someone is with you to assist you.
