when the screen pops up for printing select black and white.
or take the colour cartridge out of your printer. OR put the thing into black and white....
also there should be a button somewhere on your printer for just black and white....

Some printers use all the colors of ink to make black. Your's may be one of those.

When you press print go to properties and change the ink from there. Then right click on the printer icon and change your preferences there too.
