Hello!

My mom recently (1month ago) slipped near the swimming pool and suffered a wrist injury (broken)...i do not know the details since i am in uk and she is not..but she says that the bones linking the thumb to the wrist are broken/injured...she is doing much better now but still regularly feels pain when writing or using her hand for a longer period of time...can anyone suggest any Externally applied medications (Creme,Ointment..etc) / Websites / exercises that would help

Thanks Alot!!

All I know is it takes months for it to feel better.

She should avoid dairy as the calcium will tend to cause arthritis where the break occurred. (A Sports Medicine Doctor told me that).

Tell her to take lots of vitamins.

Did she have a cast on her broken wrist? Has it been removed yet? Soreness and weakness in the area is normal after the cast is removed.

If the doctor okays it, I suggest Physical Therapy with a hand specialist. Advil may help, too.

Its happened to me once, i did try waxing the whole wrist and others medication. Its all not working. One of my friend suggested for massage parlour. I did try it out, yes its really working. Try to look for a massage parlour that good at looking for yr vain around yr hand or body. Usually chinese or indonesian. This one really workout for me, and i did it only once.

physical therapy helps a lot, and most insurances pay for it. There she will learn how to move it and what to do to ease any tension it may cause in her lifetime. THIS IS A LIFE TIME INJURY!!!
