peodophiles should be named and shamed?i would like to know if there was one in my town.

I have kids.......!!!!
They are the most important thing in the world to me,
and if they are in danger, i'd like to know.

They are named and shamed - in the press - at the time of sentence. They are required to register under the Sex Offenders Act. However, some go underground. The police have the information, but say that cannot divulge it because of the Human Rights - of the offenders!
I agree with you that there should be a Sarah's Law, but it needs very careful thought. I saw a peodo's windows put in, his house set on fire and he was driven out of town. But these people have to live somewhere.

Yes they certainly should be named and exposed for everyone in the town to know. I know sometimes adults are charged for underage sex when it is with a b/f or g/f who is under age. But there are many sick people out there that should not be around kids!!!!!!!!

They have to register as sex offenders when they get out of prison. Many Sheriff's Departments or Police Departments are putting maps on their websites that show exactly where all registered sex offenders live. Check to see if they have done this in your community.

Put away in an institution forever, for their own good and the safety of our children. Something like 80% of "rehabilitated" pedophiles molest again.

Yup. I'd rather have a drug dealer, murderer, etc than a petophile living next door. Ewww. I personally don't think they can be rehibilitated a majority of the time.

Of course they should! Why not? Because they are considered ill people who need help? So, what about the children that we need to protect?

You know what I think, they should be branded with a CM right on their forehead for child molester. If that don't work burn them at the stake when caught!
