Can anyone tell me about the side effects of the ortho evra patch and if I should stop using it?

Question

I have been on the patch for 2 yrs. I have several headaches a week, my toes turn purple, I go from freezing to so hot that I can't breathe within seconds and I have severe abdomen pains.

I was written a prescription for the patch,but never took it,because those particular ones have been associated with blood clots in the legs,and if your toes are turning purple that does not seem like a good sign.You should see your doctor and let him know what's going on,he can also tell you more about the side affects of the patch.

I only used that stuff for a month. I HATED it! I had some tiny side effects, but mostly I didn't like how half the patch would come off and stick to my clothes and then when it was time to take it off it ripped my skin off and left little square red marks on me wherever I had it last. I would say that those side effects you are having sound pretty serious and I'd see your doc about something else. Mine is trying to get me to use that nuva ring or whatever its called. I hear lots of good things about it. You only have to worry about it once a month. I have a friend that uses it and loves it...

I would stop using it. It turned me in to a raving lunatic. Hormones are a bit strong on this one.
