Until positive paternity is determined, Howard K. Stern is considered to be the child's legal guardian (at least until February 22.) Stern is staying in the Bahamas while he designs his game plan. Bahamian residency is tied to real estate ownership in the country. Neither Smith nor Stern owned the home in which they were residing. The home is owned by an "ex-boyfriend" of Nicole's. Smith said the home was a gift from him, but he disputes this statement. He said he agreed to sell her the home, but she had not bee able to come up with the cash.

The baby won't leave the Bahamas until a court order demands that the baby be turned over to the biological father, who many believe, (according to Smith's statements prior to her death) is Larry Birkhead, a California resident.

I assume b/c she's a citizen of the Bahamas and her custodial guardian does not wish for her to leave. Poor baby, she's in a nest full of vipers including her money hungry, fake tear crying, "my daughter has always had a problem with drugs", stupid **** GRANDMOTHER.
I don't know who that child belongs with but it's certainly not with her. What parent would get on TV and tell the world her child has always had a drug problem..I'm sure with a mother like her.
Watch old episodes of Anna's show and how she talks about how money hungry her family is. They have all threatened to blackmail her...HYPOCRITES!

We need to pray for protection over her baby. Too many have died in Anna's family.

If I was that baby, I wouldn't want to come back
to America until I was able to defend myself from
the mob of gawkers, honkers, and gossipers that
is out there right now.

Where is she supposed to go? They need to determine paternity before she can be taken any where.
