can rogues ( if im an alliance rogue) sneak into big towns like undercity, or orgrimar and ambush someone ( 1 hit kill them) and pop back into stealth with vanish? would that work? if ya, i can imagine how fun it would be.. right?

You can sneak into a town but you have several things to worry about:
First, your PvP flag automatically turns on when you hit an enemy capital city. Even on a PvP server, characters in their capital city do not have to have their PvP flags on. So everyone there can take a shot at you, you might not be able to attack them.
There are guards in the cpaital cities who can see through a stealth. They are high level (65 Elites) which will allow them to see through all but the highest level rogues.
In order to kill someone in 1 shot, they need to be a much lower level than you. Chances are, unless you pick a very good spot to ambush someone, you may only have 1-2 shots to kill them before someone arrives to help.

Most rogues who do this will go in and simply fight, they wont 1 shot them, they'll just stealth in and kill someone.
You can kill a person just coming out of stealth, kill another and another if you'd like then just vanish (Assuming you're not being attacked by the named Elite guards)
If you stealth in, you'll want to look for someone who is flagged and sitting down, when they're sitting you'll have a 100% chance to crit on them, so if they're a cloth wearing class, you might be able to 1 shot them, if not, hit them about 2-3 more times and they'll go down, then vanish away.
When you vanish, pop sprint so you can clear yourself of the guard's hit range.
Rogues are very very fun as far as stealthing and ganking goes.

it can, but the moment you come out of stealth, expect to be attacked not just by NPc guards, but by people as well, the moment you attack a city, nearby people are
1. gonna hear guardians yell "Kill the intruder!"
2. its gonna be broadcasted all over the local defense and world defense
3. people are gonna ask and tell where you are...
Have fun dying!
Ironforge=Undercity, just as confusing and laggy as the other
Stormwind=Ogrimmar, just as big to circumnavigate, and as laggy.
Darnassus=Thunderbluff, just as easy to attack
Exodar=Silvermoon, both in outland, both with open defenses, both with 50 level 70 guards near the boss.

just to add to what everyone said. im a hunter and can see stealth unit moving at lvl 25 lvl 70 im sure can see better than i can i leave mine running alot of the time so if you happen to make it by the gaurds have fun being taken out by a HUNTER!

no there are no one hit kills unless you at a higher level than the person you attack
