I want to upload some files from one computer and download them from another for free. For the moment I'm sending myself mail with the file in attachment but I don't like this way. I've already searched on the net and found lots. I don't want to register and test some of them and then get spammed so please, answer from experience, don't search now or advise me to search.

P.S. I don't need a simple file transfer "I send, you receive". I want to X to upload the file from computer A and later Y to be able to download it from computer B.

P.S. 2: Y might be someone who doesn't know my Yahoo password.

You are forgetting the most obvious one, which happens to be one of the best!

Try the yahoo services, you should try Geocities.com , which is a service that works with your yahoo account, you can create webpages, store files, and you can even have links for these images from other pages (you can't do this in other hosts, like freeservers). You can also try the yahoo briefcase (briefcase.yahoo.com) that works for me, i have files on both systems, they have been there for years... wih the briefcase, they WONT be public, but you can invite someone to access a specific folder of yours... so this is good for personal files

with geocities, they WILL be public, but still, they have to know the url, this is good, if you want to go to school and jus pass urls around to your friends to download a file

and the best, they both work with your yahoo account!!!
for geocities, your link will be http://www.geocities.com/(your username)/(the name of your file.the extension)

use a messenger, like msn messenger or aol instant message. just open a chat window between two computer then drag and drop the file to the window.

or if you're still wanting a place/site to do it. try megaupload.
