Parents I don't care if you bring you children out to dinner. They can run all they want and throw all the food they like and I still don't care. But please! tell me! Why do they have to screech???

Screeching children are a result of undisciplined parenting.

At the same time, parents meeting friends of thiers should not expect to bring little Timmy or Susie (or both) to an adult restaurant and expect to languish over a meal and drinks for several hours. Kids are ready to go the second they finish eating, and don't understand why adults take so long. Unless you are going out family style with other families, find a sitter for the young ones. They're cute when they are two, but when your kids are ten and making a scene it reflects badly on you.

Nothing you can do about other people s children. Search out restuarants that do not accept chrildren under five years old. There are quite a few of them. The Mason Jar on I-10 is one.

children dont understand the adults need for quiet but it is the parents responsibility to teach there children to behave in a public place.if a child is running around screaming then it is just trying to get attention and i think that it is the parents that are at fault and not the children.

You obviously don't have kids...lol
My son is pretty mild mannered but he has had his moments. It all about teaching them to be respectful and working on it with them. Not just ignoring it. If it bothers you I would suggest not eating at a restaurant where families go...good luck. :)
