It is described in various ways by various prophets and realized people, over various ages - but still it cannot be explained.

Assume a person living in a two dimension plane, with a two dimension view. How will you explain a three dimensional object to him? Because he can view only two dimensions. If our 2D man sees a 3d ball, what shape it will be?

We human beings, are living on 3 dimensions (plus time) - but according to the hyperspace theory, more than ten dimensions are there in universe.

Your very question defies the definition of soul.In all scriptures and in the words of great seers the soul has been defined as SHAPELESS,FORMLESS,ENDLESS and BEGINNINGLESS.
It is to be exprienced only by anyone and cn not be expressed in words as words fail to describe it..mind fails to grasp it .My experience can't be yours, similarly yours can't be mine.If I eat a BENGALI RASAGOLLA (a sweet) and ,suppose you have not eaten it, and sk me what is the taste of it?, how can I say to it/How can I express.You may ask several questions is the taste like this sweet ,or thas sweet or this sweet etc etc for which answer is ''A DEFINITE NO''
It will be known only IF YOU EAT YOURSELF AND EXPERIENCE IT.That's it.Similarly your question can't be answered.More over a soul being immortal can't have a shape at all.By the very fundamental metaphysical definitions that whatever has a NAME AND FORM WILL PERISH.So God is NIRAAKAARA(Shapeless),Nirguna (without a quality),AADYANTA RAHITA ( without beginning and end).So is soul.all forms,all names , everything that is there in the Cosmos (VISWAM) is THAT and THAT alone.One has to endeavour to peel the layers of ignorance to find it within himself and without himself.So says scriptures gentleman.
