Disney used to OWN Sunday night! The Wonderful World of Disney was on every Sunday night when I was a kid. And was a little too old for the ABC After School Specials to be anything but something to make fun of.
I miss those old Disney movies, not all of them have been put on DVD yet.

I am in my mid 30's with teenage daughters, and would love to have those after school specials that I grew up with. Yes, they were cheesy, yes, they had primarily bad actors, but, they were great and something to look forward to. We still watch Disney flicks on the Disney channel, or if they're on ABC occasionally, I wish they had more options for children in the prime time hour.......most of the shows are just not ok for kids these days. Happy Valentine's Day to you as well, God bless.

I miss those times. Saturday morning cartoons and waiting all year to see things like The Wizzard Of Oz and Charlie Browns The Great Pumpkin.
Kids have no idea how it was for us back in the day.

I DO. I WISH THEY STILL HAD THE AFTER SCHOOL SPECIALS. I WOULD RUSH HOME FROM SCHOOL EVERYDAY TO WATCH THOSE WHEN THEY WERE ON. REMEMBER THE ONE WITH LINDA BLAIR, "SARAH T: PORTRAIT OF A TEENAGE ALCOHOLIC." ALSO THE EVE PLUMB ONES, "DAWN' AND "ALEX: THE OTHER SIDE OF DAWN." CHARLENE TILTON WAS IN ONE ABOUT HITCH HIKING. SOME WERE A LITTLE HOKIE, BUT WERE INFORMATIVE. SUNDAY NIGHT DISNEY WAS GREAT TOO. I USED TO BEG TO STAY HOME FROM SUNDAY EVENING CHURCH TOO WATCH THEM. ONLY WORKED IF I WERE SICK OR MY MOM WAS SICK. THE GOOD OLD DAYS WHEN LIFE WAS LESS COMPLICATED AND CARE FREE.

Yes- they were almost like an event in my house. We'd get snacks and get ready for the movie/ show. Kids wouldnt go for those things these days. They like violent or stupid (i.e. Spongebob) and pointless stuff. The good old days..... I'm 21 for the record.
