As for being a beginner and recommending that i shouldnt start playing question!, i thank you for the honest advise, but Its the only challenging song on the Mezmerize album in my opinion (ive tried playing everything else, and i can play everything else pretty good). therefore, i want to learn it now.

Ok what it is is you have to have both fingers on those frets pull off the 6 but kinda hits the string with that fingers as you do it... it's not really just lifting it off... it's more like strumming with the finger that you pull off... pull the finger down... that should produce a not that it is a whole step down from the not you just heard. BTW if you are just starting to play you might think about not starting with Question... it too me about 2 months to be able to play it perfectly and I've been playing for 13 years.

when you pull of the 6 you gotta sorta pluck it with that finger thats pulling off and not just remove the finger .. also if you're using an acoustic guitar the sound will be minimal .. picks up better on an electric (obviously) other than that sounds like you doin the right thing :)

i play the guitar to and what i do is play the string then put my finger on the fret i want to play. ex. pluck the low e and then without plucking again put your finger on the 5th fret to do a hammer on. and to do a pull off its the other way around.

Put your fingers on the 6th and 4th frets. Play the 6th fret note, and as it is ringing out, pull your finger off of the 6th fret and the 4th fret note will sound. To make the 4th fret note louder, try "flicking" your finger off of the 6th fret.

First of all, double check that your guitar's in tune. Also, make sure you're pulling off after you actually strum the note, and that you're pulling off the notes with enough force to make good sound quantity.

Try bending your ring finger(on the 6) down toward your palm kind of like plucking rather than lifting while holding the 4th fret with your index finger.

just press down harder and try not to bend the string when you pull off. maybe play around with the tones to change the sound a bit.
