It's your body and your baby and ultimately your choice. Do NOT let them tell you otherwise. You make the decision that is best for you and your family. Some doctors, not all but some, will try to tell you this is the way it has to be, but don't let them bully you. You have the right to request or refuse any type of medical treatment. Remember that, it's helpful :) Good luck to you and your baby!

It is your body, and your choice. Both the c-section and the external attempts at turning can damage your body, and therefore the doctor can not legally do either without your consent.

That being said, your doctor usually has your best interests at heart, and is trying to do what is best for you and your baby based on the doctor's training and experience. You should always take their opinion under advisement when trying to make a medical decision.

Also, you have several weeks to go--it is quite possible the baby will turn on his/her own before the birth.

Good luck!

It is the doctors decision. The only decision that you are able to make is whether or not you want an epidural. Due to the fact that he is the doctor and has probably done hundreds of births and he has the experience to know what decision to make to insure you and your baby are both healthy during and after the pregnancy. If you really wanted it to be your choice you should've opted to have your baby at home and have a birthing coach.

It is usually both your and the doctors but they usually overrule your opinion... it is painful but it has to be done. If you don't get the external version, you might not be able to deliver vaginally. Good Luck.

I'm sure you have a choice. But if they do not attempt to turn, you will have a c section. If they try and get it turned, you can deliver vaginal. Your choice.
