My hubby and I are going to a monster truck show on Saturday and I am really excited... The thing is that I have never been to one so I don't know what to expect, and my hubby really wants to take our 2 1/2 year old son with us.... The show is in an indoor areana, and it will be an hour from home.... My question is, is it ok to take him or is he too young?? I know we'd have to buy him ear plugs before we go, but if it IS ok,then what else should I know before taking him with.. It will start at like 7-8 pm....
Another question... I am 6 months pregnant... is is safe for me to go??? I am assuming there will be a lot of smoke and dust, and that is why I am wondering about me and our son going.... Please give advice and opinions!!!!!
Also what should I expect.. my husband says that there are going to be cars races, and monster trucks and dirt bikes.....
The only reason we are gong is because he won tickets......

You should definitely take your son! He will think it is the greatest thing since Santa Claus. I have been to a ton of monster truck shows and the only thing I can say for you as a pregnant woman is to take trips outside frequently. At most of the shows I have been to the dirt bikes put off a TON of exhaust fumes so be prepared for that. You don't want to breathe too much of that stuff in. As long as you take breaks from the fumes everything should be fine. Also, make sure you get you son some ear phones. Those trucks are so loud it will make your hair vibrate. To me though that is all the fun of going. The louder the better!! I know you will ALL have a great time!

Sure you can bring the son, he's old enough and he probably will really like it. Like you said, earplugs are a must. The thing is, is that after 20 weeks of pregnancy you shouldn't expose your body (baby) to loud noises. My safety monitor told me to use voice judging. If you have to raise your voice pretty loud then you shouldn't be there. You can plug your ears all you want but everthing echoes in your womb. The ears start to develop after 20 weeks of pregnancy and loud noises could definately damage your little joeys development. The smoke and stuff isn't a good idea either. Send the hubby and the son for some male bonding, they'd have fun. Then take a nice few hours to yourself and just relax. Relaxing is VERY important.

honey just enjoy ur self. not everyone can say that they won something, especially something that the whole family can do. u might want to bring the earplugs for ur self, but ur son will have a blast. and im pretty sure ur little bun in the oven will enjoy the vibrations from all the noise. relax, and have a good time.

Personally as long as you had good hearing protection I say "TAKE THE BOY!" but of course that is my opinion, I have 3 kids and one on the way and as long as they did well out in public... sure... why not! Just make sure you pack some snacks and juice in your bag for him. And as far as you being pregnant, I honestly dont see that it would be an issue.
Have a great time!!!!!
