I am doing my Graduation Project on Stream Restoration and I cant find any information on this topic. If you can tell me anything i dont already know i would really appreacate it. Thanks

Stream channels, banks, and floodplains are all formed by a balancing act between stream flows, erosion, sediment transport, and sediment deposition. When any one of these elements is changed, stream energy is altered, and it causes instability, which initiates all sorts of changes in the channel and floodplain. Most changes are detrimental to the aquatic organisms that live in the stream and people are also affected when bank alteration causes flooding or causes the stream to start moving to a new location.
