Try to apply some of the creams/lotions prescribe by the doctor. If you will warm and painful that's mean the jock itch is still there. Shaving is not the total solution. To prevent jock itch you must prevent tight pan such jeans for a while. Hair growing back may also cause itch. let the hair grow for a while and see whether the itch goes off or not.

If its jock itch, then it has nothing do with you shaving your balls, except that you made them more sweaty. Jock itch is a fungal problem. Go to the store and buy some jock itch powder like lamical. If you are too embaressed, buy the foot powder or spray, its the same medicine. Dry yourself better when you get out of the shower and change your underwear often since your newly shaved balls now sweat more. Next time when you shave or trim, only go over the area one lightly. Don't go over it repeatly and irritate the skin. That will make your skin red and itch. You should have moisturizired your balls after shaving them. But now, keep them dry.

It sounds like it's the hair growing back which can feel prickly for a few weeks. If your doctor told you you had jock itch, I assume he gave you some medication for it. If not, you need to treat it with an anti-fungal cream or powder.

It is the hair growing back most likely, but then if you'v had a doctor examine your balls do what he says for treatment. Certainly will teach you not to shave your balls! Just trim the hair with scissors if you don't like the hair so long.

Mine were shaved twice prior to angiograms. I don't remember, but I believed they said to use Calamine lotion.
Ask a pharmacist and don't be embarrassed. They deal with this type of question a lot.
BTW: The 1st time was a major turn on. She was in her 30's and a looker. She grabbed one at a time between her finger tips, stretched it out and took her time, slightly smiling as I started to salute. Ggggrrrugh. Thanks for bringing back a very fond memory.
I wasn't so lucky the 2nd time. They sent a male nurse. I asked, 'Can't you trade with the other nurse?'
Hey, it's true. I ain't smart enough to make this up.
Gotta go now. 'Hey, honey? Got a few minutes?'

Lesson learned. Your plumbs were ment to be hairy to keep them warm. The itching is a defense mechanism warning, telling you not to do it again. It's OK (very hot) for women to shave down there. It's kind of gay when a guy does it, unless your a porn star doing a lot of close up work.

Seems to me that your doctor knows a hell of a lot more than people on Yahoo!! He is qualified, trained, and licensed to give medical advice. Yahoo people are NOT. Listen to your doctor and follow his advice to cure the problem. Good luck!!
Chow!!
