I bought a Bosch O2 sensor that is o.e. and not universal. I was told by an auto tech that it is under one of the seats. Would I need any special tools? To me it seems I just need to unscrew the old one and disconnect the wire. The same to install.

In our shop we have a number of special o2 sensor changing tools. But I have seen people do it with a wrench. It should be a 21-22mm. The hard part is if you can get to it with a wrench. You will find that it has fused itself to the exhaust and you need quite a bit of elbow grease to break it loose. You do not want to damage the o2 sensor housing. I have seen people do this in a few minutes and some take several hours.
Good luck

i own a shop, and they are easy to install, you need to get it high enough so that you could work on it,and use some wd-40 to help get it loose it should come out with out to many problems, you don't have to worry about braking the old one,but be really careful when putting the new on back in,don't let the tool slip off of it and brake it,they do break real easy, and if it breaks ,you,ll have to buy another one, other than that it should be a pretty easy job to do,good luck i hope this help,s.

You kinda responded your human being question. come around the cat convertor, the tremendous aspect about the middle of your exhaust. look rapidly after that (going the front to again) and it is going to likely be actual there in the better area of the pipe. search for some thing with wires popping out of it.

you shouldnt need any special tools to change that.all you might have to do is spray it with some pb blaster or something and unscrew it and i dont know, but you might have to disconnect the neg.battery post.

don't forget about a little anti-seize compund on the threads of the new one too, but only a thin coat...don't glop it on.
