Everybody who owns a Xbox 360 is extremely satisfied as it has been awarded the best consel of 2006 and early 2007 by many video game companies. But beside that, there is one problem which kinda bugs me. The noisy fan. I tried putting coolers etc... on it but nothing works that i have already tried. I would like to know how i can reduce the sound of the fan without blocking air flow. Please help!

I have a 360 - never noticed this issue - I have it on a low shelf, and I usually play it with headphones so maybe those two factors help. I recommend maybe moving it away from where the sound of the fan is bouncing off a wall or something - a problem I had with a computer once.

Hope that helps. Keep gaming!

I own one, and it is loud. Problem is you need the controller to see the front of the XBOX in order for it to work, thus hiding the XBOX from your face will hinder it. You need to make sure you don't smother the XBOX as it needs proper ventilation. They do make a cooling unit, but haven't tested it. That probably is louder than just the box alone.
Good Luck!

Microsoft are in the process of releasing a "quieter" DVD drive but you can also buy coolers which increase the circulation of air, which should also make it quieter.
