Everybody who owns a Xbox 360 is extremely satisfied as it has been awarded the best consel of 2006 and early 2007 by many video game companies. But beside that, there is one problem which kinda bugs me. The noisy fan. I tried putting coolers etc... on it but nothing works that i have already tried. I would like to know how i can reduce the sound of the fan without blocking air flow. Please help!

I noticed that on my friends 360, i guess you just have to put up with it.

Here is what you need to do... nothing. You need to get used to it. It makes noise because it is constantly moving gears and wires. Even an ipod makes noise if you listen closley (ipod video). What I do is sit about fifteen feet away, but if you don't have room, put on headphones, so it will block out the system with the sound of the game! DOn't worry, the sound fades away as you get into the game (i recomend Gears OF WAr) DOn't return it, it isn't deffective, it is just a computer)

there isn't any distinction between the Elite and Arcade variations of the Xbox 360 different than for the colour. So it could be greater inexpensive to in basic terms purchase the 120GB annoyingcontinual and stick that on there. till you elect the black console, then choose for it yet thats quite some money.

Yeah it is kind of noisy, but if you get into the game, it goes away. Im a huge madden fan so i dont worry about a little fan noise. You can't be too picky, these things are all technology insane as it is. you cant want perfection.

pro's:

usb ports and that

cons:

gamer profile (i want it simple)
stupid rip-off hdd its just a laptop one
game graphics.
ps2 is only 300mhz and xbox 360 is 3.2 ghz and it still jumps
noisy fan
when you tilt it with a disc spinning it gets scratched.

If you have it in a closed space, it will make a lot of noise. But if it's in a wide open space, I think it's a lot less noisey,
