I think either is good as long as you are happy and really make the most of it. I am single and this year that doesn't bother me as I would rather be single than going out with just any guy! Can be a pretty miserable time of year though I think for some people.
Single yourself or know any fellow singletons? Check out Will He Call...? a fantastic website devoted to providing a place to turn when us girls need a distraction or laughter. There is a free members area with how to survive Valentine's Day single and other tips and articles.
Happy Valentines Day and have a great time whatever you are up to- single or not!! x

Thats a toss up, valentines day is about Love, not presents and gift, its about being with the one(s) you love the most, and if you are not with someone, it could be a little lonely, but sometimes its just a great with a friend/kids. I spent a few valentines days with my kids and I didn't feel like I missed much at all. This year I have someone, and we are both working, apart, won't see each other for lunch, and the day will go by and it sucks. So big toss up!

I have someone and it is so depressing. Everyone feels obligated to give and make this day so special. Puts a lot of pressure on the men. Running around trying to buy the most expensive roses and trinkets for their love ones. Why not just show with actions the way you appreciate and love that person instead of spending all you bill and rent money. I don't give gifts, I buy a gift for myself and wear it for him. Like feeling sexy. I rather not get roses since they die so soon and its such a waste of money.

It's better to be older than and more mature than a teenager. Whether I'm single or not (which I'm not) doesn't matter anymore because valentine's day is a stupid holiday for two people who love eachother and go with their hearts instead of needing some commercialised bull shite.

Happy Valentines day to you as well. I would have to say it is mucb better to be with someone especially my wonderful spouse on Valentine's Day. We spoil each other rotten and have lots of fun:) Much better then being alone and no sweetheart to share it with and being lonely and sad because there is no one to be with..... Did you see the Dr. Phil show today? I loved it!

valentines is over rated, im in a relationship, and we're going out for a meal, we've bought cards n all that, but it isnt nothing special we always go out for meals, the first valentines you have with a partner is the best, after that, its not very special, why be lovin on one day when uve got the whole yr to do be!

I have been married for 20 years, and I plan to be able to say, 20 years in the future, that I have been married for 40 years. So, I'm sure my opinion is obvious: it's better to have someone!

It depends on how you feel. When I was single & loving it, I loved getting several gifts & having a choise of guys to go out with. On the other hand when I was ready to setal down V-day sucked! After I got married it's nice to know that he still takes the time to treat me like he did when we were dating.

both! if you are single on v-day then you can spend all of the begining of feb trying to schedule dates for valentines day, then you can get like 5 little presents. or if you are dating someone, then you get one present, but it is usually a good one. :)
