At what point do you agree that we stop talks and go to war.
Do they have to denoate a nuke on someone first?
What is the point you know giving peace a chance won't work?

Clear evidence that Iran is a imminent treat to America. Until that evidence surfaces, negotiation it the most prudent course of action.

When they are more a threat to peace than Republicans!

Until Bush did everything he could to prop up the wildly right wing partisans, Iran was moving rather well back to a real Democracy.

The hype about nukes is BS as they have never stepped outside the limits if the non-proliferation treaty. They offered a solid deal to the U.S. for normalized relations and were turned down flat.

As Al Queda are Sunni's, they hate them more than we do, and have helped out in Afghanistan until recently.

If Iran is helping either side in Iraq's Bush created civil war, it is the Shiites, the ones we put in charge of Iraq's government.

The folks helping the "Insurgents" are the Saudis who are supporting the besieged Sunnis, but attacking the Saudis is not on the Bush agenda this week.

Even for good causes the current American Administration has proven itself inept to the finest detail, and should not be allowed sharp objects, much less what they have done to ruin our Military to the point that it can barely even defend itself, much less invade still another country.

What will it take? An act of God (which GW ain't).

Iran is right now all talk. The crazy in charge is spewing stuff, and looking for the "Big bad US" to attack "Poor little Iran". He is looking to prove to the world that what the middle east countries have been saying about the US being bullies is true.

When they have absolute proof that Iran plans on attacking (and let me tell you they will - they knew about 9/11 before it happened, but chose to do nothing), then I will say okay.

Until then, don't we have our plates a little full with this Iraq fiasco???

I've heard that one quite a bit, but what I'd like to know is when war works. Humans have been killing each other since cave times all over the world and wow, they are still doing it! Nothing solved, nothing ended just endless killing and it goes from one generation to the next with better and better ways of killing more faster and faster.
I realize that we have to go to war, when we are attacked or the people we have signed treaties with are attacked, but not because we don't like the government of another country or we feel they could be a threat in the future, that's like killing a two year old because he has temper tantrums, or jailing someone who hasn't done anything because he fits a profile.
If we weren't twisted up in Iraq I'd be more willing to listen to war talk with Iran, but, frankly I have lost trust in this administration to a shocking degree and if we are to go to war again I want it to be with a competent group who has a firm grip on reality and is not beholden to the same corporations who will make profits. I want to win a winnable war with clear objectives, not stroke some politicos notion of machismo

You can't give peace a chance while threatening a country. Get a clue man Iran isn't a threat. Just like Iraq wasn't a threat. The only true threat to America is the far right bible thumping warmongers who think that war is the only solution. Give peace a chance you can't say lets give peace a chance with a gun pointed at someone.

Bombing for Peace is like ******* for virginity

I would like to say something to Drew and I hope you read this. Israel is an illegal state occupying Palestinian land. Palestine and their allies have a right to want Israel gone

I saw an interesting show on PBS last night that dealt with the government using the press to utilize propaganda to justify the war in Iraq. I suppose it will take an effort similar to that, but stronger, as the public is now wary of such doomsday claims.

Your question seems to assume that "taking action against Iran" is a done-deal and the dems are dragging their liberal feet, and you want to know when they're going to get on board.

There ARE no talks going on to stop.

There IS no peace over there being given a chance.

Thanks to Bush/Cheney, you and I probably will never live another day in our lives, for the rest of our lives, that wont be filled with war, talk of war, news about war, fear of war, deaths due to war....what a great future we have to look forward to, huh?"

Iran is a bigger threat to Europe than they are to us. The Europeans need to be pushing this issue and they are via the UN. thus giving Iran all the time they need. We just don't hear the truth from our media. they make it sound like its just a US kinda thing which is self centered and oh so wrong.

Liberals will never support action against Iran because the majority of them are cowards.

An Iranian army detachment could sneak into America, kill every liberal in Congress, and the only people that would get mad about would be conservatives...not because liberals had been killed per say, but because the Iranian soldiers actually had the nerve to cross our borders for the purpose of killing off elected officials within our government.

It just will never happen.

and what will it take for brainwashed ppl like you to stop doing what the neocons tell u to do?

personally, i feel and strongly believe iran needs to stop funding the shiite insurgents in iraq and trying to lie about it. BUT...a war with Iran would be counterproductive.

IM an independent, no strings attached s.o.b.
