My ten month old granddaughter is going through the sme thing. She'll eat "regular" food, but she will not even open her mouth for baby food. Give him very well cooked finger foods, like carrot chunks, peas, macaroni ... you want them to be very soft, though, so he can "chew" them. Good luck!!

I have twins that did the same exact thing. The dr. told me that they are just dependent on the bottle b/c it is easier. They also told me to make sure I feed them their food before they get their bottle- this way they fill up on the food and start going down in ounces in the bottle:) Don't worry, they go through all kinds of eating stages! If you get concerned where the baby is not eating at all then I would talk to your Dr.

The beginnings of him expressing his independence. You have also consider that your child prefers the bottle to being fed solids. You're going to have good days and bad days with feeding him baby food. It 'll determines what' kind of mood he's in at the time you feed him. And it also could be he's teething too. Make sure you schedule an appointment with your Pediatrician and consult whith him/her about what's going on.

He's probably teething. At this age, he's still getting most of his nutrition from the bottle anyway, so keep offering the solids, but it may be a few days before he takes them again. In the meantime, make sure he's getting all the milk he needs, and if it lasts more than a couple of days, consult your pediatrician.

Don't let the baby see the bottle before you feed him! Wait til after he eats to fix the bottle.
I put my 10 month old grandson in his high chair when I feed him, and then give him his bottle while he is still in the high chair, so he drinks the bottle before he gets out.
We are trying this so he is not wanting to carry it all over the house and not drinking all of it.

If it's sudden he's probably sick or has mouth issues--check for sores in his mouth (hand foot mouth disease). Maybe he doesn't want baby food anymore. My 9 month old eats almost all table food. If you think he's just being a brat, pinch his nose shut till he opens his mouth, put the food in, and quick stick the bottle or sippy cup in for a drink to make him swallow the food. He'll get over his little battle of wills soon enough.

At ten months old he should be able to eat food from the table that you cook. His tastes may be starting to change. Try some dry cereal like cherios, soft cooked vegetables, or other soft foods that he can eat with his fingers. At his age he should have enough teeth to chew more solid foods.

happened to me too! Now my son is 20 months...
First take him to the pediatrician just to make sure everythings ok. One time I went that everyone thought I was being overly dramatic, I found out he had a throat infection. He prescribed me something and that was it ;)
They go threw phases...
