It was working fine last night, and now its not playing a damn thing. I've tried CDs, DVDs, and games, and nothing has worked.
Did the drive die? Please god there has to be a way to fix it. I've put so much money into it

This happens an incredible amount of times. You are playing your Xbox too long or maybe it is in a unconfortable spot. I think you have to trade it for another used/new Xbox.

have you tried a cd cleaner. something might be on the lens. my cousin had a problem with the HD not working all the time. I would try unplugging it and then plug it in. see if that works.

yeah it sounds like your CD/DVD drive phone microsoft and if its still got a guarantee on it microsoft will give you a new one or replace the parts it my need, but if you've modded the case in anyway (not face plate) they wont even bother,

Yeah, just get a disk cleaner. If your disk is too scratched or too hot, then it won't work either. It happens to me all the time.

put one of those cleanin discs in or turn the xbox on its other side there mite be dust or **** on the lazor which wont read the discs

Ours had to be cleaned when this happened! They sell a dic to clean it!
