Just update again - it should clear it - you are downloading the free programme from weeks ago - new updates come thru daily

This is referring to the virus definitions - the database that holds all of the methods to detect viruses, not the application.

this changes/updates daily, so it would be impossible for AVG/Grisoft to always repackage the application with the latest virus definitions as they are released.
a simple update via the internet resolves this.

LEave it alone for awhile. AVG takes time to load there updated virus files on the computer. i have avg and it took me 1 hour for it to update for my first time

i'm thinking you might need to open the antivirus program and run the update module. having recently downloaded the latest version of avg myself the virus definition data base is.nt upto date. anytime you install new software the very first action should be go and check for updates.

You have to update AVG.

May sound daft but make sure your date (& clock) is set correctly in bottom right (in your task bar).
