there are a variety of things that cause blindness. i work with a little girl that was born very prematurely and her eyes never developed so she's blind. blindness doesn't usually happen spontaneously. it's usually from birth, injury, or degenerative disease.

Too many factors to consider. Many things can cause blindness from looking at the sun with your eyes to diseases. If you suspect vision problems, see your eye doctor.
