i occasionally hear people slagging her off, i've listened to her show for 3 years now and can find no reason at all why someone would want to slag her off or call her the sorts of names i've heard people describer her as, what is UP with this?

I happen to like Jo Whiley and the only cause I can think that some people might criticise her is that in 2005, she was one of a handful of BBC disc jockeys and television presenters who broke strike picket lines. BBC staff were striking over announced job cuts.

However she's been very popular and I think she's done a great job.

Jo has always been keen to promote new artists and bands, and they very much appreciate her for doing that. Amongst many others she was one of the first DJs to champion James Blunt.

In April 2006, it was announced that a Jet2 Boeing 737 based at Blackpool International Airport was to be named after her following a campaign by fellow Radio DJ Scott Mills who wanted her name used in airports. There is also a suggestion that a departure lounge in Newquay Airport will be named after her, but no decision has been taken on this yet. Those facts alone might make some envious of her popularity with the public.

She has been spoofed in Viz magazine as "Jo Whiley Cayote" and she was able to laugh at it all. She can take a joke.

I love all the features on her show and think she is one of the best DJs and that she has more fans than enemies.

You seriously want to get me started on this...

I can't even answer I'm wound up just thinking about it.

1. She blames the producer when something goes wrong.
2. She breathes and pauses too much (seriously listen it'll bug you as well)
3. She takes credit for every new act that appears on her show and then makes it big.
4. She talks and refers to all celebrities as if they are her best mates.
5. Live Lounge: Even when the song is really dire she says 'wow, that was spellbinding' or something stupid.

I wouldn't go over bored slagging her off, and before you say It. I haven't listened for abut 4 years but I can't imagine she's changed.

Some hate Jo Whiley because she will promote any old crap for a tenner.

Hating her is a bit harsh, and people shouldn't be like that. If she's not somebody's cup of tea then they can switch the radio off, but there's no need to slag her off. She's not a murderer, for goodness' sake!

Jo's just not my cup of tea. To each their own you know. That's why there are other radio channels.

Because people don't like some people for no reason. It goes without saying.

I am one of these people. She's sluggish and unfeminine. Urgh!

Because she has such bad taste in music, and makes out she knows it all.
