Qualification needed for college/6th form lecturing?

Can anybody let me know what qulifications are needed to aquire a job as a lecturer in a college/6th form, apart from a degree in the relevant subject.

A lot of FE colleges will take you on without Qualified Teacher Status as long as you can prove you know enough about your subject.
